EDWARD MONTOYA is an "AV" rated attorney according to the Martindale.com rating of national attorneys. He was born in Queens, N.Y. and has resided in Florida since 1978. Edward attended Florida International University and earned a Bachelors Degree in Economics in 1987.
From 1987 to 1989, Edward worked with the Federal Reserve Bank of Miami as an analyst before attending law school in 1989. Edward received his Juris Doctorate Degree from Vermont Law School in 1992. While at Vermont Law School, he was a staff editor for the law school's newspaper, The Forum. He was among a few students selected to participate in an internship at the Department of Justice, Civil Environmental Enforcement Division in Washington D.C. While at DOJ, he was one of several law clerks working with Department of Justice lawyers involved in the landmark Exxon Valdes case stemming from the disastrous oil spill in Alaska.
In 1993, Edward became associated with a prominent Fort Lauderdale law firm where he was one of seven partners handling personal injury and aviation related matters. While at that firm, he gained experience in the litigation and resolution of mass tort cases, airline disaster cases as well as other complex personal injury matters. In 1999, Edward opened his own firm and has since resolved dozens of airline disaster and major product related cases for clients throughout the world.
